Michael Kearns

Michael's directorial assignments include Precious Chong's Porcelain Penelope pieces, one of which landed Off Broadway where he also directed Lan Tran in Elevator Sex. He originated the title role in James Carroll Pickett's solo play Dream Man (1985) which he subsequently directed in Edinburgh, Dublin and Madrid.

At L.A.'s Skylight Theatre, Kearns directed Burke Byrne's The Yellow House in 2011 and has most recently collaborated with David Trudell on three solo shows which grew from Trudell's participation in Solomojo.

Kearns is also the author of two books that have become "bibles" of solo performance: Getting Your Solo Act Together and The Solo Performer's Journey (both on Heinemann).
